Lion List - Week of 9/26
Mrs. Pollitt’s second graders had fun bundling straws into 10s and 100s to get to 1,000 in Math. They practiced habit 6 (Synergize) and learned that working together as a team was easier.
Mrs. Kailey’s second graders participated in a gallery walk, practicing determining central message.
LeBlanc Elementary Picture Day tomorrow!! Students do not have to wear uniforms, they may "dress to impress." Please pay online or submit money in Lifetouch envelope by September 29th. Students must follow the out of uniform dress day guidelines in the VPSB student handbook.

Miss Emily Allen, our school counselor, shared the “Zones of Regulation” with teachers at our monthly faculty meeting. Teachers threw a beanbag with an emotion written on it in the matching Zone of Regulation, which were hula hoops being held by teachers. This lesson is also being taught to our students to help them identify their emotions. Check out the picture of the resource handout for ideas to help your child with their feelings.
It’s Tech Tuesday!!!
Students may participate in out-of-uniform dress for $2. Out-of-uniform dress must follow the guidelines in the VPSB student handbook. All money received from "Tech Tuesdays" will be used to purchase much needed computers in the classroom, cameras, printers, jump drives, technology services, and other expenditures that are not funded through any other sources.
